Adidas opens first outdoor flagship store in Munich

Adidas Terrex, the outdoor division of the German sports brand, opened its first European flagship store in Munich last week. The store has a strong focus on sustainability and aims to be the go-to place for the local outdoor community.

“Most sustainable store ever”

On a sales area of 370 m², the brand offers access to the entire range of Adidas Terrex products. The store was created in close collaboration with Terrex athletes and offers product lines in the hiking and mountaineering categories, as well as equipment for trail running, mountain biking and winter sports.

According to the company, the store, located in downtown Munich on Sendlinger Straße, focuses primarily on sustainability, digitalization and community. The store’s sustainable design with resource-efficient and recyclable materials, combined with digital innovations including an interactive shoe wall, is expected to lay the foundation for an unparalleled customer experience. Adidas itself speaks of its “most sustainable store to date”.

The intention is that the new store will also serve as a meeting place for the local outdoor community. Animations, workshops or conferences will take place every Thursday evening, both inside and outside the shop.
