Shoppers lined up in the street for a bargain as a new Adidas factory outlet opened in East Kilbride this week.
Lanarkshire Live told how the sportswear giant was advertising for staff to join its team at Kingsgate Retail Park, which would provide a much-needed boost to the town.
The retail unit joins sportswear brand Nike in the Glasgow Road retail park.

With deep discounts on high-end sportswear and “designed for action” streetwear, shoppers were out in force to get their hands on the latest classic styles and modern designs.
The store opening offer is 20% off when you spend £100 in store.
An enthusiastic shopper queuing for discounted goods at the outlet store opening yesterday said: ‘The bargains are unreal’.
Another said: “It’s a lovely new store, there were great deals to be had. And there was a fantastic selection for all ages and sizes.”
Sports giant Adidas is the largest manufacturer in Europe and the second largest in the world after Nike.
The German multinational, founded and based in Herzogenaurach, Bavaria, designs and manufactures footwear, apparel and accessories.
