eBay has big plans for sneakerheads this Memorial Day weekend as they plan to open a store in Los Angeles and actually reward sneakerheads for wearing the kicks they have in their shoes.
According to NiceKicks, eBay will open a Wear ‘Em Out sneaker spot on Fairfax Avenue from May 27-29 and offer an assortment of sneakers that will be up to 70% off their market value. To top it off, Wear ‘Em Out will offer customers a bigger discount if they actually wear their newly purchased sneakers in the store. Not bad if you ask us.
We don’t expect to see Off-White Jordans or Travis Scott sneakers on the cheap, but hey, you never know because Offset was involved in picking and choosing the sneakers available for purchase.
As one of eBay’s best-known rappers and sneakerheads, eBay has invited Gap to help organize the Wear ‘Em Out store. Using its extensive sneaker collection as a guide, Offset worked with eBay to determine the most exciting sneakers to offer shoppers.
“eBay is my go-to place to find kicks you won’t find anywhere else,” rapper Offset said. “For sneaker collectors like me who stay up at night trying to decide if you’re going to wear your new kicks, eBay’s Wear ‘Em Out store sheds light on something that haunts the entire sneaker community and gives people a new way to access the shoes they want for summer.
It should be interesting to see which grails and gems will be available at 70% off. We expect plenty of Pumas and adidas to be on deck. I’m just saying.’
