Inside a huge new Decathlon store in Liverpool in the old Next on Church Street

A huge new Decathlon store has opened today in Liverpool city center on the site of the former Next.

The French sports brand has taken over the ground floor of the Church Street building, bringing its wide range of activewear, sports equipment, camping gear and more to the bustling main street of Liverpool. New Decathlon The store covers 2,500 m² and has created 40 jobs in the city.

The new Liverpool branch opened at 11am on Wednesday April 28, with shoppers flocking to the store to be the first to browse the retailer’s selection of clothing and gear. At the store, customers can purchase clothing and equipment for more than 70 sports in total.

Shoppers can ask the team at the new Decathlon store for expert product advice and can try on items before buying. Decathlon’s retail leader in the North, Ross Farrington, said: “We are delighted to open a brand new flagship store in the vibrant and sporting city of Liverpool.

“With the mountains of North Wales and stunning beaches just a stone’s throw away, customers can leave Decathlon with everything they need to make the most of the Great British Summer! Our mission is to help make sport more accessible, from kayaking to football, we have innovative products designed by experts at Decathlon, with prices everyone will love.
