Rakuten offers cash back on all purchases from Google Store

Rakuten is one of the best coupon apps. It offers offers, discounts and cashback for purchases in various online stores. This cashback is now also available for purchases on the Google Store. You’ll get 2% cash back on any purchase you make on Google’s online store.

This offer is available via Rakuten browser extension for Google Chrome. If you already have a Rakuten account, you can take advantage of the offer as soon as you add the extension and activate it. But if you’re a new user, you’ll need to sign up for the service first before you can get 2% cash back on Google Store purchases.

First spotted by 9to5Google, the Rakuten extension notifies users of available cash back with a pop-up in the top right corner of the screen once you land on the Google Store. Simply activate the offer and start shopping. Rakuten will process the 2% refund after your order has been shipped. You can transfer the amount to your PayPal account after reaching the payment threshold.

According to the new report, this Rakuten offer can be stacked on top of the offers from Google itself. The company is offering up to 10% cash back on Google Store purchases to Google One subscribers. So you will get 2% extra cashback if you activate the Rakuten extension. Note that Google only gives you store credit that you can redeem for future purchases from the Google Store. Rakuten, on the other hand, allows you to withdraw the amount and spend it elsewhere.

Of course, Google Store isn’t the only place where Rakuten offers cash back. It is a fully-fledged coupon and discount service that works in thousands of stores including eBay, Target, Walmart, Lowe’s, Adidas, Nike, Macy’s, Gap, PetSmart, etc.
