This pair of Adidas Originals Wales Bonner is back in stock

What do you get when you bring together iconic shoe silhouettes, a sub-$200 price tag, and an epic designer collaborator? Sold out sneakers. If you live in New York, you’ve definitely seen, or at least heard of Wales Bonner’s Adidas Originals. The Central Saint Martins grad and CFDA International Male Designer of the Year’s reinterpretation of the Adidas Samba and Country sneakers have been completely wiped off the shelves (in-store and online) since their 2020 launch. In fact, when my boyfriend returned from a trip to Paris earlier this summer with a pair of these perfectly red suede gum-soled Sambas, I was in disbelief. How did you get your hands on it, and more importantly, why didn’t you bring me a pair?

Lucky for me, and anyone who regretted not picking up a pair when they got the chance, the black suede trainers suddenly appeared in a fully stocked size range at the luxury online retailer, Net-a-Porter.

With contrast stitching, this black lace-up pair hits the retro-inspired trainer trend, while its iconic silhouette and classic colourway give it that stylish longevity we all crave when it comes to investing in something. again. Think of it as streetwear with a sense of stylish ease. At the rate these cult sneakers are selling, we wouldn’t recommend waiting to pick up a pair for yourself.
